Jemima-Jane is dressed in the 19th century ‘rag doll’ tradition, with a variety of  clothes and hair accessories.  She measures a splendid 51cm (20in) in height.  Knitted dressing-up dolls often end up looking somewhat peculiar because the designs begin with the doll itself then many layers of bulky clothing are added.  Read the detail page to see how this problem has been neatly solved $11.95

AN INTRODUCTION TO JEAN GREENHOWE'S DESIGNS

There are no complications in Jean Greenhowe's easy-to-knit designs  .If you can knit, purl, increase and decrease you can make everything in the publications above

Each Booklet contains full, detailed step-by-step instructions to guide the knitter through every stage of the production.

And you may also be pleased to hear that no fancy yarns are required - just double knitting yarn which is always available.  This means that these patterns never date and the first dolls, designed in 1980,  can still be knitted today

In fact, the Jean Greenhowe designs are so easy to knit that The Royal National Institute of the Blind (UK) has translated her patterns into Braille for the benefit of knitters with impaired vision.
